Adsense for FeedBurner

Posted by Michael Bloch in web marketing (Sunday June 1, 2008 )

Looking to generate a little more revenue from your feeds? Feedburner recently announced it will be rolling out AdSense for feeds to an initial group of publishers and then to the entire network in the near future.

If you’d like to get ready to show AdSense ads in your FeedBurner feeds:

- Log into FeedBurner
- Go to “My Account”
- Click on “AdSense Account Link” in the left hand menu
- You’ll need to then click the “Sign in to AdSense” link on that page

Enter a few details and then you’ll receive a confirmation link from AdSense requesting permission for FeedBurner to access what it needs to in relation to your AdSense account. You’ll also need to set up your AdSense channels for “placement targeting” so advertisers can target your syndicated content.

Once the FeedBurner AdSense feature is fully rolled out, you’ll be able to manage it from your AdSense account Setup tab, and monitor performance on the AdSense Report tab. According to FeedBurner, there will be a great degree of control available to publishers in terms of what ads appear, how often and in which feeds if you have multiple feeds.

Could be a good way to generate a few extra bucks for little effort and I look forward to seeing this feature being fully rolled out!
