Biggest Cyber Monday. Ever.

Over $9.3 billion has been spent online since the beginning of November; a 17-percent increase over the corresponding days last year.

According to Comscore, online retail spending on Thanksgiving Day was up 29 percent to $272 million and “Black Friday” up 22 percent to $531 million.

The big day is yet to come according to ComScore – they are predicting Cyber Monday’s (tomorrow) online retail sales to rake in over $700 million in the USA, making it the biggest online spending day in history.

The top gaining online retail categories for the season-to-date:

Video Games, Consoles & Accessories – up 134%
Furniture, Appliances & Equipment – up 36%
Consumer Electronics – up 21%
Sport & FItness – up 20%
Apparel & Accessories – up 17%

Online sales of toys have only experienced an increase of 9%. Comscore states that toy safety concerns appearing to be weighing down the category.
