Marketing - keeping it simple

One of my favorite tv ads is very basic, probably cost the company peanuts to produce; yet is incredibly effective. Just about everyone I speak to about this ad know it and love it. It’s a good reminder that marketing doesn’t have to be about pow, zowie and zing - it can be short, sweet and very simple.

It’s something I’ve never tried, but the concept interested me so I decided to do a little research on it. Success is all in the implementation it seems

Online business and vacations

I grew up around small business, my Mom had a boutique and later on we had a bakery. The latter was extremely hard work for them both, so holidays were rare - luckily we lived in a holiday resort type town so we never felt we missed out.

Fast forward into the future and I’m working much like my Dad did during the bakery days in the online world - although much more comfortably I must say.

A “real” vacation in the popular sense of the term is increasingly becoming a foreign concept to me - to the point of it being downright strange.

How much quality time do you get away from your online business for vacations and what do you classify as a “holiday”?

Risky sites and your business
